The management of the Mental Health Association 'El Cribo', on the occasion of the commemoration of 'World Mental Health Day 2023', held a lunch last Sunday at the Casa Museo del Campesino with the participation of about 200 diners, family members and supporters.
The event began with welcome words from the president Rosa María González, who, very grateful for the response and assistance of the public, also participated in the purchase of tickets for the raffles. Secondly, the second vice president of the mental health association and representative of the committee of the Canary Islands Mental Health Federation, Juan Gabriel Quintana González, was in charge of reading the manifesto. Immediately afterwards, lunch was served and at dessert time the performance of the choir 'El Cribo Canta' took place, which performed three songs that were widely applauded and directed by Professor Arnold Bonilla.
Once the performance was over, several gifts donated by different commercial firms were raffled, putting the finishing touch to the day with the performance of the singer Daniel Moisés, making a very varied tour of his songs. A music that for many of those present had become the soundtrack of their lives, so very animated they left their seats to sing and dance infected by the young singer. This is how the solidarity day ended, which on this occasion was attended by Oswaldo Betancort and the Minister of Social Welfare, Marciano Acuña.
Next Tuesday, 'World Mental Health Day' will be celebrated at the Real Club Náutico de Arrecife at 7:30 p.m., with a round table called 'Job Insecurity and Mental Health'. Admission is free for those who want to attend.
