The seaside neighborhood of Valterra continues to celebrate its festivities in honor of the Virgen del Carmen with the events programmed by the Department of Festivities of the Arrecife City Council, among which the Barrios con En-Canto concert and the Drag Gala have stood out, both with a large audience.
The concert, held on Thursday and in which popular Canarian music had a special role, featured the voices of Ciro Corujo and Almudena Hernández, who were accompanied by José Vicente Pérez on the timple, Adrián Niz on the guitar, Miguel Ángel Cabrera on the piano and Roberto Gil on the bass, and which also had the endearing presence of Cirito Corujo who performed a sorondongo.
The program of events continued on Friday with the celebration of the fun Drag Gala with five participants who gave it their all on stage to make the large audience enjoy themselves with their brilliant show.
Seniors
Seniors have also had a special role with the celebration on Thursday of the fun Ladys Valterra Gala as well as with the crowded dance and snack on Friday which was attended by Echedey Eugenio, as well as the councilor responsible for the Senior Citizens Area, Rosmen Quevedo, among other public representatives.
The Valterra Festivities reach their final stretch this weekend with the celebration this Saturday of a children's show from 6:00 p.m. and the subsequent performance of Bourbun and Treintaytantos.
In addition, on Sunday the celebrations will come to an end with a barbecue and foam party from 2:00 p.m. accompanied by the Son del Norte band. At 5:30 p.m. the land procession will begin and at 6:00 p.m. a mass will be held in the Insular Hospital followed by the traditional marine procession.
