The Acatife Musical Cultural Association brought the Canarian airs to the Sociedad Democracia de Arrecife. A concert framed in the program of the San Pedro festivities that took place last Thursday night in the social hall and with the allowed capacity to the full.
The 25 members pleasantly surprised the public with the varied musical selection, which had been chosen for the concert, with some recently created compositions and which were presented on the night as: 'Identity' or 'Veredas de Romería', to which they were also adding others included in their latest album 'Lanzarote, Mi pueblo y César'. In addition to 'El Bucherito', 'Mulata ven', 'El rico' and 'Las Plaideras' and 'Soy Canario'.
These songs, together with others that are part of the musical anthology of Acatife such as: 'Entre el Mar y la Tierra', 'Popurrí de Boleros', 'Cruz del Mar' and without forgetting the folías and seguidillas. Acatife was performing for 90 minutes without stopping and earned the affection and warm applause of the public.
Before the end of the concert, the vice president of the Sociedad Democracia Gabriel Barrios, congratulated Acatife for the magnificent performance and thanked the public for their presence at the concert. With the song 'Por Bandera', Acatife ended an evening, a day that had been very special for them and in which the public stood up to applaud them.
