The Chola Festival fills the San Ginés Festivals with fun

More than 10 hours of lively family fun that included the concert by Américo, King of Cumbia, on tour in Spain

The Department of Acts and Events of the Arrecife City Council filled the Islas Canarias Park this Saturday with family fun and much joy, with several performances during ten hours, within the celebration of the Fiesta de la Chola, a proposal already consolidated within the program of the patron saint festivities of San Ginés.

With the direct organization of the Department of Acts and Events, led by councilman Óscar López, the Islas Canarias Park, next to the coast of the capital of Lanzarote, was transformed into a “great fun beach” with performances by DJ Basilio Coco, one of the most famous and historic in Lanzarote, Mambo con Fuego, the group Malpeis and DJ Maxi Ferrer. The Fiesta de la Chola culminated with the long-awaited performance by Américo, on a musical tour in Spain, where the numerous audience present jumped and danced to the famous cumbias of this singer of Chilean origin.

The Arrecife City Council, through the Department of Acts and Events, awarded prizes during the Fiesta de la Chola for the best hats, through a contest with cash prizes where original designs were valued in the individual, couple, and group categories.

Councilman Óscar López, present at the festival, along with several council members from the Governing group, congratulated the winners of the contest and thanked the large attendance at this fun festival focused on the enjoyment of all families in a summery and playful atmosphere.
