Sonidos Líquidos begins this month with its staging. The artist in charge of kicking off the most sustainable festival in the Canary Islands will be Eva Ryjlen, with three dates on the calendar. The author will dazzle us by combining her wildest side with the elegance that characterizes her.
The first Sonidos Líquidos 2022 event will be on Thursday, May 12, at 8:30 p.m., with a special acoustic concert by Eva Ryjlen, where we can also enjoy pairing Lanzarote wines with excellent local cuisine. The emblematic Meliá Salinas hotel in Costa Teguise, specifically on its Breeza terrace, will host this event, which marks the start of this new edition.
Following the route that the festival has been marking in previous years, the following locations will be on the island of Tenerife, on Friday, May 13, at 9:00 p.m., at the Aguere Club in La Laguna, and will continue on Saturday, May 14, at 8:00 p.m., at the Alboroto hall (formerly The Paper Club) in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. On both dates, Eva Ryjlen will captivate the attendees of each hall, whetting their appetites for an edition that was long overdue.
In addition, both concerts will feature the prior performance of local groups that will make the public dance through their songs. At Aguere Club, the band Mollo & The Freestyle Poodoo Experts will start the night, and at the Alboroto hall, those in charge of opening the show with their pop-style live performance will be Sanches. Among the attendees of both concerts, wine packs, tickets and a trip for two people to attend Sonidos Líquidos in Lanzarote will be raffled.
The next stop on the concert route will be on May 22 at the El Grifo winery, where Alberto & García will add color to the volcanic landscapes that surround them starting at 1:00 p.m. On this occasion, the public will be able to enjoy the musical and gastronomic experience again with El Grifo wines and gastronomy in which km 0 is the protagonist. And as in previous occasions, an children's area will be enabled in which there will be eco-educational activities. Without a doubt, this day has all the ingredients that make up Sonidos Líquidos.
The great event of the festival will arrive on June 10 and 11, where we will experience intense days of music, wines, gastronomy, nature and more. On Friday, June 10, the free concert that kicks off the great celebration of the festival will take place in the El Almacén square, in Arrecife, with the performance of several groups, highlighting the live performance of La Habitación Roja. This Spanish indie pop-rock group will be the appetizer for a weekend that has nothing to waste.
And of course, the highlight of this year arrives on Saturday, June 11, on the utopian stage of La Geria, where attendees will vibrate with the concerts of the well-known Fuel Fandango, Shego and Goose, among others, and whose poster will be completed in the coming dates.
Sonidos Líquidos is recognized as one of the most sustainable festivals in Spain, thanks to the A Greener Festival seal, awarded by the British organization of the same name, which audits festivals at a European level in terms of sustainability. In addition, it adds to the award achieved at the Iberian Festival Awards, as the best festival in Spain and Portugal, in the Contribution to Sustainability category. In this edition, it will continue to implement its ambitious strategic and sustainable plan, developed together with MJC Ambiental from previous editions and in accordance with the 2030 Agenda.
Without a doubt, the Sonidos Líquidos music festival returns with great force and with the desire to make good music and experience felt in one of the most impressive landscapes in the world.
