Mancha Blanca received a special visit this Thursday thanks to the excursion organized by the Island Council of Lanzarote's Elderly Area, which, for the first time, invited all users of residences and day centers on the Island to enjoy the Lanzarote Craft Fair.
The President of the Island Council had the opportunity to greet the group of 200 people, including socio-health personnel and seniors who, in addition to visiting the exhibition space and the hermitage, shared lunch and after-lunch conversation on an afternoon that Oswaldo Betancort described as "one of the most special of the Los Dolores festivities, because it has been very comforting to see how dependent seniors spend a different and stimulating day on a physical and mental level."
"I would like to highlight the important role played by the caregivers of our dependent seniors, both family members and professionals, who provide care and assistance to those who require this type of specialized care, which is essential to guarantee their autonomy and well-being," said Betancort, congratulating the area and the staff who made it possible.
As head of Social Welfare, Marci Acuña also thanked the users of the addiction network and other volunteers "who have collaborated in the support to make this excursion a success," added the councilor, expressing his commitment to continue promoting activities that improve the quality of life of dependent seniors and promoting their socialization.
