The Department of Festivities of the Tinajo City Council, led by Jonathan Pérez Olivero, has prepared an extensive and diverse program to celebrate the Virgen del Carmen 2026 Festivities of La Santa which will start on July 6 and will run until July 19.
A festive program full of activities for all ages. The first days highlight activities for the youngest and the Children's Soccer tournament on the small field.
Seniors will have a walk on Friday, July 10. Sports activities will continue with the waves of La Santa and the Chirrimil championship on Saturday, July 11, a day on which the Chess simultaneous will also be played. On Friday, July 17, the VIII edition of the La Santa Popular Mile 2026 will be held.
Activities continue in the following days until one of the most anticipated moments of these festivities. On Thursday, July 16, at 6:00 p.m., the terrestrial procession will arrive accompanied by the Timbayba Musical Group, which will be followed by a popular barbecue with performances by DJ Álvaro Ramírez, Soneros and Swing del Norte.
On Saturday, July 18, the big weekend of the La Santa festivities begins. From 12:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., the Merengazo La Santa Colors Fest will take place, featuring Nuevo Klan, Primera Marcha, DJ Sami, DJ Nalo García, Fran Bernal and Adrián González, followed by the popular verbena with Vocal Force, Tremendo Son and DJ Sami.
For Sunday, July 19, there will be the maritime procession and mass with the Tinajo Municipal Band and tenor Rubén Fariña accompanied by students from the Singing School, closing the festivities with a popular barbecue, theater with people from the town, children's playback and Especial Carmita in the food stalls.
