Actor Ricardo Gómez, best known for his role as "Carlitos" in "Cuéntame Cómo Pasó", participates as a jury member in the Lanzarote Film Festival.
The interpreter is a jury member in the International Category, in which he highlights that "it is interesting to be part of the jury in that category". Also, to be able to see "short filmmakers from other countries" such as "Mexicans, Argentinians, Pakistanis, English, French, etc."
He confesses that "it has been very pleasant to see the selection", and "that cinema goes beyond borders in a format that seems to work so well", he adds.
This is because, if it weren't for the festival, "otherwise I wouldn't have had the option to see those works", he comments.
"I was once a jury member for a Radio Nacional film award" but "years ago", he recalls, and it makes "I hadn't done it and I've enjoyed it a lot". He confesses that "I wanted to live this experience".
It's not the first time he's landed on the island. "I've already been to Lanzarote and I also know La Graciosa", he acknowledges.
Furthermore, he makes it clear that "I'm crazy about the Canary Islands and Lanzarote". "I really wanted to be here", he confirms.
"My strong point is being a film jury member, watching movies and giving my opinion about them"
He tells us what his strong point is: "being a film jury member, watching movies and giving my opinion about them". "Which is what I'm going to do in Lanzarote", he affirms. Afterwards, he will also participate with his colleagues in the gala that will take place this Saturday at 8:30 p.m. in the El Salinero theater.
