The Cabildo of Lanzarote, through the Culture and Crafts areas, coordinated by Alberto Aguiar and Carmen Guadalupe, has announced that the deadline for participation in the thirty-second edition of the Mancha Blanca Crafts Fair, which will be held between September 10 and 15, is now open.
The application period will be open until July 30 and can be submitted either through the electronic headquarters of the Island Council or at the General Registry of the Cabildo of Lanzarote, located on Avenida Fred Olsen in Arrecife. The application form can also be found on the website www.artesaniadelanzarote.com.
The president of the Cabildo of Lanzarote, María Dolores Corujo, points out "the importance of such a large-scale event for the promotion and encouragement of a sector that is vital to the economy of many people on the island, which brings together more than a hundred artisans from all over the Canary Islands year after year in the conejera locality".
Dolores Corujo also highlights the collaboration of the island institution with the Town Hall of Tinajo and its mayor, Jesús Machín, "so that this fair can be organised in an optimal way, with the facilities in the best conditions for the stalls and with all the sanitary guarantees".
Likewise, the island councillor for Crafts, Carmen Guadalupe, expresses her satisfaction for the possibility of organising an event of these characteristics again, "which constitutes a very valuable showcase for the exhibition of the hard work that the group of artisans from the Canary Islands and Lanzarote carry out throughout the year".
It is expected that the opening hours of the Fair will be Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Wednesday, September 15, from 11:00 to 22:00 hours, and Monday and Tuesday, from 17:00 to 22:00 hours. The official opening of the event would take place on Friday, September 10, at 18:00 hours.
