The Cabildo of Lanzarote celebrates the success of the new installment of the project Diversos, which was held this Saturday, September 28, at the Teatro Víctor Fernández Gopar El Salinero, in Arrecife.

The show, titled The Dance of Lunja and her Shadows, was a celebration of functional diversity through inclusive dance, which was sponsored by the Corporation, through the Areas of Culture and Social Welfare and Inclusion, achieving the objective of making visible the capabilities of people with functional diversity.

The Councilor for Social Welfare, Marci Acuña, has expressed his "satisfaction with the reception of the show" and stressed the importance of "creating 'comfortable and safe' spaces that promote the integration of the entire community".

For his part, the Councilor for Culture, Jesús Machín, stressed that "dance has been a vehicle for social inclusion, and this event has demonstrated how art can be a bridge to understanding and respect for diversity".

The work, produced and directed by the Studio de Danza Emocional Celia Medina, has been the result of a joint work that has involved the seven municipalities of the island. The music was in charge of the pianist and educator Diana Martínez and the costumes and props were designed by Esteban Cedres, highlighting the different tribes that make up the world of Lunja.

From the Cabildo of Lanzarote "congratulate all the people involved in this project and thank the community for their support and participation".
