"We will enjoy both the children's and adults' playback in Mancha Blanca. I make a call because the most important thing is Our Lady of Los Dolores, that in the offerings there are no perishable products, I hope we exceed last year's figures, and that everyone, including the media, comes dressed as a pilgrim to save an image, especially on the day of the pilgrimage and the day of the Baile del Romero," Machín insisted.

The mayor thanked the traditional stalls and the fairgrounds for their work and for continuing to maintain our customs and traditions. While he highlighted that the consistory will take special care with events such as the Manuel Carrasco concert, which is expected to be very crowded.

The 16th will also be special with the little cars at one euro and the act for the whole family of the Super Grandmother, With love everything is better, and Salvapantallas and Los Lola will also be there. "I hope that these festivities are to the liking of all the residents of Tinajo and all the people who visit us. Long live Our Lady of Los Dolores”, concludes the mayor.

For his part, the parish priest of Tinajo, Francisco José García, thanked “the effort of all the institutions involved, in all areas, thank you for all the means that are put in place so that the festival of our Mother is real and can be carried out, with all this dignity and so much work. This year the Virgin will be a little earlier on her throne, every day we will have the rosary at 6:30 p.m. and the Eucharist at 7:00 p.m. This year the special one falls on Sunday and we will have the Eucharist at 12:00 noon, we are in a special year too, the year of the Descent of the Virgin. We will be open from seven in the morning until nine at night for pilgrims. We invite everyone to enjoy the festivities with a very beautiful program very faithful to our traditions.”

The president of the Cabildo of Lanzarote, Oswaldo Betancort, stated that the Institution has worked “intensively” in collaboration with the City Council of Tinajo “to offer a complete program that reflects the regional and cultural character of these festivals.” He especially highlighted the 35th Craft Fair, which will feature the participation of artisans from the Canary Islands and Macaronesia; or the 34th Nanino Díaz Cutillas Festival, “a unique event that celebrates our musical traditions.” And he explained that on September 15, the big day of our festivals, “we will culminate with the Manuel Carrasco concert, which promises to be the grand finale for the celebrations”, also thanking the Diocese of the Canary Islands for its understanding in bringing forward the solemn Eucharist, “thus guaranteeing the safety of the faithful.” Finally, he recalled that this year the devotion to the Virgen de Los Volcanes takes on special relevance with the historic Descent of the Virgen de Los Volcanes to Arrecife, in November.
