Lanzarote launches a new 'MOVID ON Lanzarote 24', an innovative and unprecedented program designed to encourage the active participation of Lanzarote's youth in physical, cultural and recreational activities.
This event, which will be held from August 16 to October 24, 2024, covers all the municipalities of the island, offering a variety of activities that seek to inspire, educate and entertain young people. The Playa Chica dock in Puerto del Carmen was the place chosen to tell the details of this new adventure that the Island Council is launching with a more than attractive plan for a segment of the population that demands quality leisure, culture and training.
"The new edition of MOVID ON Lanzarote will allow young people to explore new passions, improve their skills and connect with other young people with similar interests. This ambitious program for the personal and social development of young people includes an extensive range of activities ranging from water and land sports to creative and technological workshops,” Aroa Revelo highlighted during the presentation in Puerto del Carmen.
The Cabildo of Lanzarote thus reaffirms its commitment to the integral development of youth, fully financing this initiative that promises to become a benchmark for the island. 'MOVID ON Lanzarote 24' not only seeks to fill young people's free time with enriching activities, but also to create a sense of community and belonging, strengthening ties between young people from different municipalities,” added Councilor Aroa Revelo.
Activities for all tastes
Among the most outstanding proposals are creative and technological workshops where participants can learn about illustration, digital sculpting and 3D printing, exploring the potential of modern technology. In the sports and wellness field, courses in surfing, paddle surfing, initiation to sailing and other disciplines will be offered, promoting the importance of a healthy lifestyle. Likewise, the program includes cultural activities such as poetry, creative writing and urban dance workshops, which will allow young people to express themselves artistically, fostering their creativity and emotional development. In addition, to strengthen social ties, social connection events have been organized that include volleyball tournaments and role-playing games, designed to promote teamwork and create a sense of community among participants.
'MOVID ON Lanzarote 24' is intended to generate a significant impact on local youth, promoting a healthy lifestyle, learning new skills and social inclusion. By integrating young people from all over the island in a collaborative environment, it is expected to strengthen the sense of community and belonging, while promoting diversity and inclusion.
