Several designers from Lanzarote will be the heralds of the Arrecife Carnival. Next Friday, February 10 at 7:45 p.m., Jaime Romero, Juan Rojas, Toño Aparicio and Oswaldo Machín will be in charge of starting the Carnival in the capital of Lanzarote. The designer Manuel Camejo was also going to participate in the event but due to a personal matter, he will finally not be able to attend the event. The proclamation will take place in the Parque Islas Canarias and, after it, a musical tribute show to Celia Cruz will take place.

The weekend of Saturday, February 11 will start with the celebration of the Family Carnival in the Parque Ramírez Cerdá, where Arístides Moreno & 101 Brass Brand and DJ Ángel Pérez will perform. The Traditional Carnival will also be celebrated with giants and big heads and the Parranda Marinera Los Buches, Los Diabletes de Teguise and the Charanga La Única will take the stage.

From there and until February 22, various performances will take place around the capital of Lanzarote. The end of the festivities will be marked by the burial of the sardine on Avenida Marítima, which will take place in the Arrecife City Council and the Reducto beach.

As a novelty, the program has once again included the Tapas Fair in the Parque Ramírez Cerdá on February 18 from 12:00 to 00:00. That same day the Carnaval Porteño will also be celebrated, which will be accompanied by musical performances by Platino, Serial Killers, DJ Nandi and DJ Maxi, among others.
