Ceramicist Tino Alemán, from Gran Canaria and based in Uga for more than four decades, is the creator of Rodolitos, an exhibition that raises its voice against the problem that exists with this "popcorn"-shaped algae. This work is born from the love and respect that the artist has for his land and "for this world so in need of care", reflects Alemán. In turn, it will be curated by Ubay T. Alemán.

The exhibition is inspired by the nature of Fuerteventura, where the Bajo de la Burra beach, known as the Popcorn beach, suffers the scourge of mass tourism. The inauguration will take place tomorrow, July 3, at 6:00 p.m. at La Casona de Femés.

The Councilor for Culture, Daniel Medina, encourages the public to attend the opening of the exhibition, which can be visited until August 31, from Monday to Friday from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. For his part, Óscar Noda, mayor of Yaiza, encourages the residents to "enjoy this exhibition that seeks to raise awareness and support our beloved Tino, who with his affection and good work earned the title of Adoptive Son of Yaiza in 2019”.
