Resounding success of the recording of Acatife's album "Mi pueblo y César" live at Jameos del Agua. The event took place last Saturday at 8:00 p.m. with a full auditorium with a dedicated audience supporting with their applause from the beginning of the recording until its conclusion.

The night started with the song "El Diablo de Timanfaya", this being the only song that Acatife has already recorded and which gives its name to the fifth album. This time it is dedicated to the island of La Palma on the occasion of the eruption of the Cumbre Nueva volcano. The recording continued with songs such as bucherito, Juana Viciosa, Silbos de Guanapay, Las Plañideras, Soy Canario, Timple de Mar, until completing the fourteen. The most special moment was when the song that will give the album its name, "Mi pueblo y César", was presented, the work of the Lanzarote writer and poet Jaime Quesada Martín, masterfully performed by the young Almudena Hernández Toledo. This is the first time that Acatife has joined a woman's voice to its voices and, without a doubt, it was a success, being the most applauded of the entire repertoire.

Despite the tension with which the members took to the stage, the recording went ahead with total normality. The musical direction was in charge of Ito Hernández and the harmonization of the voices by José Antonio Elías following the instructions of the sound technicians Serafín and Luis.

The album cover is the work of the Lanzarote painter David Morales and is inspired by a painting by César Manrique, a work that has the authorization of the Foundation. To carry out this project, Acatife had the institutional collaboration of the Cabildo de Lanzarote, the Teguise City Council, the Art and Culture Centers and the César Manrique Foundation, all present at the event.
