The Andalusian artist David Bisbal closed this past Tuesday the festivities in honor of San Ginés in the capital of Lanzarote. However, between August 14 and 25, several artists passed through the stages of Arrecife, but how much did their concerts cost? In total, the main musical performances, the vast majority led by male artists, exceeded 1.1 million euros.
The main event of this year's San Ginés festivities was David Bisbal, who gave a two-hour concert from the esplanade of the fairgrounds in the capital. The hiring of the artist from Almería cost the coffers of the Arrecife City Council 455,320 euros (487,192 euros with taxes).
The contract was negotiated without public tender and awarded to the company Fuerteventura Producciones SL. The contract for David Bisbal was formalized last Friday, August 21, and was published on the Public Procurement Platform on August 22, three days before the concert.
More than 307,000 euros for Alborán's performance
In terms of cost, David Bisbal's concert was the most expensive awarded by the Arrecife City Council this year. The second most expensive performance of the San Ginés 2026 festivities was that of Pablo Alborán. The artist from Malaga cost the Arrecife council 287,500 euros (307,625 with taxes).
The contract for Alborán's performance was also negotiated without public tender due to artistic exclusivity and this time was awarded to the company Preventos Media SL. On this occasion, the award was agreed on August 10, five days before the concert, and the contract was formalized on August 13, two days before the performance.
More than 169,000 euros for Delaossa and 43,000 for Reality
For the performance of the rapper from Malaga, Delaossa, as part of San Ginés Joven, held on August 22, the council awarded a negotiated contract without public tender to hire Delaossa for 158,441 euros (169,532 euros with taxes).
On this occasion, it was awarded to the production company Ayoze Romart SL, which contracted the exclusivity of the event, and was formalized on August 21, the day before the show.
For San Ginés Joven, the Arrecife City Council also hired the artist Reality, which cost 40,480 euros to the public coffers (43,313 euros with taxes). The contract was also awarded to Ayoze Romart SL and was formalized on August 21, the day before the event.
El Consorcio, 68,400 euros
The group El Consorcio, formed by several former members of the group Mocedades, was hired for the amount of 63,980 euros (68,458 euros with taxes). This contract was also negotiated without public tender due to exclusivity of the performance and awarded to the production company Estudios Multitrack SLU on August 18. The event took place the following day, August 19.
Around 25,800 euros for La Guardia
As part of the San Ginés festivities, the group La Guardia also performed, with a hiring cost of 24,128 euros (25,816 with taxes). On this occasion, the contract was also awarded to the company Fuerteventura Producciones y Promociones SL, based in Puerto del Rosario. The hiring was awarded on August 11 and formalized on the 13th, and the performance took place on August 21.
Meanwhile, the hiring of the Agrupación Folclórica Los Campesinos for the celebration of the XXXVII Festival Campesino de San Ginés amounted to a budget of 22,000 euros. The event took place on August 22 and was awarded two days earlier, on August 20. The artists Los Cantadores and the artist Tamara also performed as guest artists at the event.
