The Haría Town Council, through the Festivities Area, celebrated a new edition of the traditional Puesta de Mantel on Thursday night, on the occasion of Canary Islands Day. This decorated table contest, which seeks to enrich the cultural heritage, featured performances by the La Aldaba, Son del Norte and Pa’l Porrón parrandas.
The mayor of Haría, Alfredo Villalba, stated that "this initiative reinforces the pride of being Canarian and sharing customs, being a reflection of the identity of the north of the island and the affection of the people, with which traditions are kept alive."
For his part, the Councilor for Festivities, Alberto de León, thanked the citizens for their participation. "This type of celebration not only strengthens neighborhood ties, but also allows us to preserve our traditions and transmit them to new generations," he concluded.

The winning table of this edition was by María del Pilar González Betancourt, who received the prize of 200 euros in recognition of her effort and originality.
The City Council wanted to give special recognition to all the participating tables for their involvement, and encouraged citizens to continue participating in these activities that reinforce Canarian identity.
