The Villa de Teguise hosted the 'Choral Concert' last Saturday night at the Santo Domingo convent. An event within the festival program in honor of Our Lady of Carmen, organized by the direction of the Villa de Teguise Polyphonic Choir and the collaboration of the Teguise City Council.

The event, presented by local resident Miriam Hernández, began with the performance of the Villa de Teguise Polyphonic Choir, directed by Professor Nuvi Tavío. The performance began with Juan del Encina's composition, Señora de Hermosura, continuing with Ernesto Duarte's ¿Cómo fue?, followed by Penagos and Theodorakis's Luna de Miel, and ending with a popular Zarzuela medley. For this concert, the director Nuvi Tavío could not count on all the choir members due to some medical leaves, but even so, the audience enjoyed their performance, rewarding them with applause.

For this edition, they featured the Tías Voice Choir, directed by Professor Arnold Bonilla, with the accompaniment of Jesús Cabrera on piano. The Tías Voice Choir is newly created and composed of 20 choir members who took the stage with nerves on edge but very excited, as it was their second performance since their creation. The group started their performance with a habanera titled El Volcán, continuing with the chachachá Piel Canela, the bolero Sabor a mí, and ending with the Cuban Son Son de la Loma. A highly applauded performance that brought smiles to the faces of the 18 women and 2 men in the choir for the audience's reception.

The Choral Concert concluded with the performance of the young Lanzarote tenor Raúl Ró. Since the age of seven, Raúl had his first approaches to music, a passion he has cultivated with dedication and effort over time. His training includes music and singing studies, as well as his participation in folklore groups and collaborations with prominent artists such as the renowned composer and timple player Benito Cabrera. Currently, Raúl Ró already has a notable curriculum both in the musical and vocal fields. On this occasion, he opened his performance interpreting a self-created theme titled Lanzarote, followed by well-known pieces such as Alfonsina y el Mar, Quizás, Quizás, Quizás, and Sabor a Mí, among others.
