The town of Las Breñas bid farewell this Saturday in a big way to Lanzarote's carnival season to the rhythm of its gofiadera, a gathering that arrived a week late, forced by the circumstances of bad weather, but which nevertheless managed to gather dozens of mascaritas in the square, who, in light of what was seen and experienced, had a lot of desire for a party.
The groups Lanzarote Swing, Banda Nueva, Nueva Stela and Mambo Latino provided the music and the public was in charge of turning La Gofiadera into a full Carnival. Great atmosphere in the square and much joy from young people and adults who with joy and a touch of nostalgia drank the last shot of the carnival festivities 2026.
La Gofiadera is already a claim of the town, a party that grows and leaves very good vibes among neighbors and also among visitors from other Lanzarote municipalities who let themselves be infected by the southern good vibe. The march started at six in the afternoon, with notable participation from minute zero, although with the sunset, attendance increased, as well as the dancing and the revelry.
The public socialized around the stalls set up in the square, recharged batteries and held out until dawn. The cannons released kilos of gofio and the people left delighted from Las Breñas square, where the Ritmos del Sur batucada also passed, with the feeling of having had a very fun time.
The Councillor for Festivities of Yaiza, Daniel Medina, thanks the public's participation, the good work of the musical groups and the work of the preventive services of the Yaiza Local Police, Yaiza Civil Protection and all the people and entities that made this encounter of pure enjoyment possible.
