Los Ancones, the smallest town in Teguise, officially welcomed the Risco 2024 festivities, starring this year's neighbor and herald, Belén Pérez Betancort.
David Asorey, a member of the festival committee, emphasized that with the arrival of August, we are immersed in the unusual hustle and bustle of preparations for the Los Ancones festivities.

“These festivities not only celebrate our history and customs, but also invite us to look to the future with hope and work together for a better tomorrow. Every year, when Los Ancones fill our streets with flags, we relive the joy of being part of something bigger, a community that never forgets its roots since its founding as a town and in honor of the patron saints, Nuestra Señora de Candelaria and San Juan Bautista,” David emphasized.

The board of directors of the “Las Velas” neighborhood association thanked Belén Pérez Betancort for accepting the invitation to be the herald and for opening her heart to announce our festivities.

After the emotional proclamation "full of authenticity and nostalgia" in which Belén presented in a video the memories of her family and emphasized since the first houses were built in the town in 1982, in addition to naming all the neighbors of the town and remembering those who are no longer with us, but who remain alive in our hearts, and the traditional donuts made by her family. David Asorey, a member of the festival committee along with Olivia Duque, mayor of the Teguise city council, presented the herald with a recognition as part of this tribute.

At the end of the event, attendees were able to enjoy the concert enlivened by the Bourbon group.
