The capital of Lanzarote will experience this weekend one of the central events within the program for the commemoration of the 225th anniversary of the founding of the municipality of Arrecife. Yonathan de León detailed that the city is commemorating the 225th anniversary of the founding of Arrecife as a municipality. The history of the city is linked to the Charco de San Ginés, and it is the perfect enclave, and unique in the Canary Islands, to be transformed into a large natural stage for these performances. The mayor was "satisfied with the achievements of the Municipal Government he presides over in recovering the Concerts in Vela in the Charco de San Ginés, which were resumed last autumn thanks to the drive and organization of the Department of Tourism, led by Eli Merino."
The Arrecife City Council has installed on the promenade of La Ribera del Charco, near the Cuatro Esquinas and Multicines Atlántida, a grandstand area so that attendees can comfortably follow the performances.

Together with the OCL volunteers who will coordinate access to the 3,000 seats available, with free access, the Los Marlines canoeing club also participates.
From the Classical Orchestra of Lanzarote, a call is made to the citizens to attend the concert with a candle to place them on the surrounding wall of Avenida César Manrique, which surrounds, of the Charco de San Ginés, in recognition of the people who have recently lost their lives in the catastrophe caused by the DANA.
