Arrecife celebrated last Saturday the seventh children's murgas contest of the 2023 Carnival that took place in the Fairground with the participation of the groups “Intoxicaditos”, “Noveleros” and “Chau-Chau” and that also featured the magic show of “Raúl Magic”.
The children's group “Intoxicaditos” was the murga that won the most awards by obtaining first place in the categories of “Presentation”, “Buche” and “Fantasy, design and costumes”; while “Chau-Chau” won first place in the section of “Interpretation, lyrics and music”.
The awards granted by the jury after the celebration of the contest were presented by the mayor of Arrecife, Astrid Pérez, the Councilor for Festivities, Encarna Páez, and the municipal deputy mayors, David Toledo and María Jesús Tovar, respectively.
The first prize in the category of "Presentation" and in the category of "Buche" went to the murga los "Intoxicaditos". Regarding the category of "Fantasy, design and costumes", the first prize was also for the murga "Intoxicaditos", the second for "Chau-Chau" and the third for "Noveleros".
Finally, the winners of the category “Interpretation, lyrics and music” was the murga "Chau-Chau", the second prize was for "Intoxicaditos" and the third for "Noveleros".
