This Monday, July 24, Ángel Vázquez has been appointed new CEO of the Art, Culture and Tourism Centers in Lanzarote. The members of the Board of Directors approved the proposal presented by Oswaldo Betancort, in which Vázquez takes the lead of the Entity that manages the work created by César Manrique. "He meets the indicated technical profile and has the experience, desire, capacity and knowledge necessary to lead the public company to achieve the proposed objectives," Betancort remarked.
Vázquez returns to a house he knows "very well" with the objectives of "returning the essence to spaces that are, exclusively, of art, culture and tourism." And also promote its proximity to the population: "we want the people of Lanzarote to feel that the Centers are theirs, that they live them as theirs and that they enjoy the incredible experiences they offer every day."
The new counselor, who will also assume the functions of president of the Board of Directors and managing director of the Entity, and will bet on promoting "the organization and updating of a company that must be capable of giving the best response to the challenges of the tourism industry of the 21st century", informs the CACT Lanzarote.
It will also focus on the revision of the gastronomic offer of the Art, Culture and Tourism Centers. "Our restaurants have to be the best exponent of Saborea Lanzarote. We want to value the gastronomy of the island through a proposal that integrates the flavors of our primary sector to attract the interest of new customers," said the new counselor.

During the session, new members of the Board of Directors have also been appointed, who are Marciano Acuña, representing the CC group; María Jesús Tovar for the PP, Miguel Ángel Jiménez (Government group), Benjamín Perdomo for the PSOE and Óscar Pérez (mixed group).
Alfredo Villalba is the representative of the City Councils of Haría, Tinajo and Yaiza on the Board of Directors. Susana Pérez, absent this Monday, and Guillermo Toledo, remain as representatives of the tourism employers and the Works Council, respectively.
