With a varied and grand musical show, Altavista put the finishing touch to its festivities in honor of San Antonio María Claret on Sunday night, in an atmosphere of conviviality, joy, and lots of music.

From 8:00 p.m. onwards, Los Luchadores Park became the meeting point for residents and visitors who came to enjoy the long-awaited end of the festivities, which began with a performance by the Teguey Popular Music Group, from the municipality of San Bartolomé.

The 23 members of the group, musically directed by Professor Leo García Corujo and presided over by José Cruz, were received with enthusiasm and warm applause, as this concert marked their first performance in Altavista. With great excitement, Teguey offered the best of its repertoire, performing its own compositions such as, La vieja Molina, Volcán Soñador, Famara, El viejo Arrecife, and Isla Imantada, among others.

The audience enjoyed it from beginning to end, accompanying each of the songs with clapping and humming, feeling very closely the connection and dedication of the musicians on stage. Teguey also presented part of their own productions Myths and Legends and Voices of Women, Souls of Men, which reflect their commitment to Canarian roots music. The performance culminated with an emotional interpretation of the pasodoble Islas Canarias, which the group dedicated as a thank you for the warm welcome received, thus closing an unforgettable night for its members on their first visit to the Altavista neighborhood.

The show continued with the participation of the three winners of the 5th Altavista Canta Song Festival: María Nieves Betancort, Janet Rey, and Araceli Bravo, who, accompanied by the festival orchestra, performed the songs with which they had won over the jury and the audience the previous night, once again receiving applause from those present.

As the culmination of the night, the beloved singer from Tenerife, Pepe Benavente, took to the stage, transforming the park into an authentic dance floor. With his charisma and repertoire full of rhythm and joy, he got everyone singing and dancing to his songs until 11:00 p.m., when a spectacular fireworks display lit up the Altavista sky, marking the official end of the patron saint festivities in honor of San Antonio María Claret 2025.

A magical night, full of good music, emotion, and feeling, that will remain in the memory of all the residents and visitors who shared this celebration.
