The Sixth Section of the Provincial Court of Las Palmas will try next week in Lanzarote a man accused of sexually assaulting a six-year-old girl, the daughter of his partner, with the alleged complicity of her mother.
The events date back to between 2015, when the victim was six years old, and February 2022. The Prosecutor's Office accuses J.J.D.G. of taking advantage of the moments when he was alone in the house with the girl, his partner's daughter, to sexually assault her for seven years and on a daily basis.
The Public Prosecutor's Office accuses the minor's mother, S.G.T., of an attack on her daughter's sexual freedom, as she allegedly knew her daughter was being sexually abused and "consciously and deliberately" allowed her partner to be alone with the minor.
The defendant has been in provisional detention since March 3, 2022, extended in February 2024, and the maximum four-year period of imprisonment for which will be reached next March
The Public Prosecutor's Office accuses J.J.D.G. of being the perpetrator of a continuous sexual abuse of a minor under 16 years of age, classified as such because it predates the "Only Yes Means Yes" Law, and his mother of being a necessary accomplice. Twelve years in prison are requested for each of them, absolute disqualification from passive suffrage for the duration of the sentence, special disqualification from any office or profession where they may have regular contact with minors, and a restraining order from the victim for five years. In addition, ten years of supervised release and participation in sex education programs.
In addition, for the mother, he requests the **termination of parental rights** and the payment of court costs. Furthermore, the alleged aggressor will have to compensate the minor with 48,000 euros for moral damages, should he be found guilty.
