The First Section of the Provincial Court of Las Palmas plans to try the defendants in the last part of the Montecarlo case in two weeks, between October 6 and 23.
The different sessions of the oral trial are scheduled to be held in Lanzarote and Gran Canaria. In total, the Provincial Court has planned nine sessions, the first three on the island of Lanzarote and the last four in Gran Canaria.
The Court's Communication Office has confirmed to La Voz that one of the defendants in this piece has requested to suspend the trial for health reasons. At the moment, the Chamber has not yet decided whether or not it will be suspended.
This last piece to be judged has already had to be postponed on two previous occasions, one in 2023 and another in 2024 for different reasons, and with it all the investigations opened within the framework of the Montecarlo case would be concluded.
