The Romanian gang that stole more than 5.3 million in jewelry in Lanzarote is condemned

The six defendants have acknowledged the facts and have accepted sentences of between two years and seven months and four years and six months in prison

The six members of a Romanian criminal gang that stole objects valued at more than 5.3 million euros from three jewelry stores in Puerto del Carmen, Lanzarote, between December 2017 and June 2018 have been sentenced this Tuesday to penalties ranging from 4 years and 6 months to 2 years and 7 months in prison, according to EFE and published by La Provincia. 

The Las Palmas Court has handed down a final judgment against the defendants, four men, two of them brothers, and two women, one of them the wife of one of the defendants, all of Romanian nationality, after the defendants acknowledged the facts after reaching an agreement with the Prosecutor's Office and the private prosecution.
