The First Section of the Provincial Court of Las Palmas will judge next Wednesday, June 26, in Gran Canaria, the accused of sexually abusing the daughter of his partner in Arrecife.

The events date back to May 2020, when the accused J.A.M. lived in his girlfriend's house in the capital of Lanzarote, with their respective minor daughters.

According to the Public Prosecutor's Office, during the early morning of May 31, his girlfriend's daughter, who was a minor, went to her mother's bedroom and went to sleep with her. The accused and his daughter were in the same bed.

The Prosecutor's Office points out that at one point, when the minor's mother and the accused's daughter left the room, J.A.M. took advantage of being alone in bed with the minor, "taking advantage of the family relationship" to allegedly put his hand through her shirt and grope her breasts.

In addition, he states that the accused "rubbed his penis against the minor's buttocks, turned her to face him and rubbed his penis again against the genitals" of his stepdaughter "while kissing her passionately."

The Public Prosecutor's Office is asking for six years in prison for the accused for a crime of sexual abuse against the minor, with the accessory of special disqualification for the right to passive suffrage during the term of the sentence.

In addition, it demands the prohibition of approaching within 500 meters of the minor, her home, place of work and any other place frequented by her and the prohibition of communicating by any means for seven years.

To conclude, the Prosecutor's Office requests that he compensate the victim with the amount of 6,000 euros for the moral damages caused.
