A new chapter between the businessman from Lanzarote "Mon" and his relationship with justice. The Las Palmas Prosecutor's Office is asking for three years in prison for Ángel Ramón Tejera for a possible crime against the Public Treasury. According to the indictment to which La Voz has had access, the reason would be the alleged deductions as expenses of unjustified amounts.
The Prosecutor's Office also requests, in addition to imprisonment, a fine of 488,000 euros (three times the allegedly concealed amount), the loss of the right to obtain subsidies or public aid and the right to enjoy tax benefits or incentives or Social Security for four years.
The case will be judged on April 12 at 9.30 in the morning in the Criminal Court number one of Arrecife.
Ramón Tejera is the sole administrator of the company Angrasurcor SL, whose fiscal address is located in Arrecife. According to the indictment, the company allegedly did not declare income amounting to 14,500 euros. In addition, it would have deducted "unduly" more than 634,186.74 euros.
In total, applying the corresponding deductions, the Prosecutor's Office insists that the fee owed to the Tax Agency and that would have been concealed and not paid amounts to 162,171.68 euros.
The Public Prosecutor requested Ramón Tejera for the receipts to corroborate the figures declared in the company. However, the indictment concludes that "since the reality of such expenses has not been proven, they cannot be considered deductible," the writing highlights.
The indictment was presented before the Investigating Court number four of Arrecife. The Economic Crimes area of the Provincial Prosecutor's Office presented this indictment against Tejera on January 11, 2022.
This occurred less than a month after the Courts of Madrid assumed an investigation initiated in the Investigating Court number two of Ávila against Tejera and the lieutenant general of the Benemérita, Pedro Vázquez Jarava. In that second case, the alleged crimes of falsification of an official document, falsification of a commercial document and embezzlement are being investigated.
In both cases, the works granted to the businessman from Lanzarote for the rehabilitation and painting of thirteen territorial units of the Civil Guard in the Peninsula and the Canary Islands are in the spotlight.
Within the framework of this operation, the Ministry of the Interior dismissed the head of the Civil Guard in Tenerife this Wednesday due to "loss of confidence." The dismissal occurred due to the investigation carried out by the body's Internal Affairs regarding the alleged irregularities in the works of several facilities carried out by "Mon."
