The judge investigating the new case against the former president of the Cabildo, Pedro San Ginés, for alleged crimes of embezzlement and bribery, has already lifted the secrecy of the summary, giving the investigated parties access to the proceedings.

“Today, after what I have seen, I can only say that I am even more relaxed”, said San Ginés, who pointed out that for the moment he has been able to read “13 or 14 orders” of the summary, which has “about 57”.

The former president of the Cabildo confirmed this news during the press conference he had called to talk about the acquittal in the desalination plant case, although afterwards he did not want to admit questions about that other open case, stating that it was not the reason for the call.

“Everything remains the same”, he limited himself to answering, after one of the journalists reiterated a question about the measures adopted by the judge in that case. Thus, he has confirmed that the magistrate maintains the blocking of his account, and that they have not yet returned the electronic devices that were seized by the Civil Guard, both in the Coalición Canaria office in the Cabildo and in his home, which was searched by "about 15 agents of the Civil Guard".

“I will continue to be investigated, I am warning you that more are coming”, he pointed out in that press conference, in which he lashed out against several political parties and against “certain media outlets”, which he claims have treated him “like a common criminal”.

Regarding this new case in which he is being investigated together with Ignacio Calatayud, for the payments that the lawyer received under his Presidency, he has not provided new details. In this regard, he has only insisted that he is “more relaxed than yesterday”.

“From what I have seen, neither your honor will find nor has found nor has pointed out the slightest link between the money collected by the lawyer and the payments made for the purchase of my home”, San Ginés has assured. It should be remembered that after the search of his home, he himself revealed that, among other things, how he acquired his home, which belonged to the father-in-law of Ignacio Calatayud, the lawyer Felipe Fernández Camero, is being investigated.

“What does not exist cannot be found”, San Ginés added, after insisting that he is “more relaxed” upon verifying that, according to him, there are no references to those "links" in the orders he has read.

“I am sure that they are misunderstanding, very badly, who has paid and how the house in which I lived not long ago and which is my property”, he limited himself to adding in this regard, without clarifying more details about how that acquisition occurred.
