The courts have rejected the precautionary measures requested by the Centers regarding the payment of more than 400,000 euros in that lawsuit they have with the Tax Network of the Cabildo.

The Centers have reported that this Monday 436,065.57 euros were paid to the Cabildo of Lanzarote to "pay in full" the fee corresponding to the year 2020 that the entity had challenged in the courts.

The CEO of the Tourist Centers, Benjamín Perdomo, has stated that "we respect and abide by the mandate of the court", and has announced that "we will appeal it because what is at stake is not only the fee corresponding to one fiscal year but also laying the foundations for a future model that serves to prevent the fee from being subject to the whim and discretion of the needs of the Cabildo of Lanzarote."

Perdomo has insisted that "the Tax Network is not competent to liquidate the Tourist Centers" a fee that he considers "illegal", and that subjects the entity to a situation of "complete defenselessness".
