The Court of Instruction number 1 of Arrecife has decreed this Friday provisional imprisonment with communication and without bail for the alleged skipper who was driving the boat that arrived at Charco del Palo this Tuesday. He will probably be accused of a crime against foreign citizens that can carry penalties of up to 8 years in prison, according to the press office of the TSJC.
The boat from Morocco arrived on the coasts of Lanzarote on June 30 with 19 immigrants on board.
