Lanzarote will host between November 24 and 25 some practical conferences on the latest legislative reforms in civil and criminal matters, which will bring together prominent magistrates and prosecutors from all over Spain.
"With the solvency of the speakers, the quality is guaranteed", they point out from the UNED of Lanzarote, which organizes these conferences within the acts of commemoration of its 50th anniversary.
The activity belongs to the Legal Training Classroom cycle and is aimed at legal professionals, psychology, security forces, students or any citizen interested in the subject. It will be held at the Arrecife Gran Hotel, in the afternoon on the 24th and on Friday the 25th in the morning.
Among the speakers who will travel to the island to participate in these conferences, the UNED highlights the magistrate of the Second Chamber of the Supreme Court, Antonio del Moral; the former magistrate of the National Court, today European Delegate Prosecutor, Pablo Ruz; the magistrate of the Court of First Instance Number 7 of Móstoles, Natalia Velilla, and the magistrate of the Provincial Court of Las Palmas, Pilar Parejo.
They are joined by other magistrates from the island, such as the head of the Court of First Instance Number 4 of Arrecife, Tamara Martínez Esteban; and also the prosecutors Joaquín Manuel Bobillo and Elena Alarcón Balanza; the director of the Institute of Legal Medicine of Las Palmas, María José Melián Ramos; the lawyers Vicente de León Gopar and María Ángeles García Hernández; and the coordinator of the Lanzarote Family Meeting Point, who will talk about the operation of this space.
The victims, at the center of many of the presentations
In different presentations and discussion tables, they will address the recent legislative reforms, as well as various current issues related. "The psychological expertise, credibility of the minor and assessment of the reporting court", the "Forensic protocol in minor victims", the "Secondary victimization in confrontation with the principles of immediacy and contradiction" and "The consent of the victim in sexual offenses" will be some of the topics that will be put on the table in these two days.
The event will be inaugurated by the presiding judge of the island, Adalberto de la Cruz Correa, and by the director of the Uned Lanzarote, Andrés Martín Duque. As for the closing, the magistrate-judge of the Court of Instruction Number 1 of Arrecife, Silvia Muñoz, who is also one of the coordinators of the conference, directed by the professor of the UNED Fátima Yáñez Vivero, will participate.
