Vicente Alexis Ojeda has confessed this Wednesday that he sexually abused and continuously abused his ex-partner's eleven-year-old daughter. The First Section of the Provincial Court of Las Palmas has hosted the trial held against this man, who already had a criminal record for sexual assault.

Finally, the Prosecutor's Office and the defense of Alexis Ojeda have reached an agreement by which his sentence has been reduced from six to four years in prison, special disqualification from the right to passive suffrage during the term of the sentence, a restraining order of more than 500 meters from the victim, her home, her work and any place frequented with her, as well as a ban on communicating for six years.

Likewise, the man will remain on probation upon leaving prison and must receive sexual education courses and will not be able to carry out any work activity with minors in six years. Added to these facts is the aggravating circumstance of recidivism and the mitigating circumstance of undue delays in the case, since it was pending trial since 2017.

The events date back to after the summer of 2015 and before August 2016. At that time, Alexis Ojeda took advantage of the moments when his sentimental partner was absent from the home to kiss the lips and touch the breasts and genitals of the daughter of this one who was only 11 years old.

The continued crime of sexual abuse has caused the minor psychological injuries, presenting symptoms of hyperactivation and avoidance that are compatible with post-traumatic stress disorder. Likewise, Vicente Alexis Ojeda must compensate the minor with six thousand euros for the damages caused.

The confessed author has declared before the Court that he will comply with the restraining order and that he does not have money to face the payment of the financial penalty. The Chamber has advanced that it will issue a final judgment after the parties involved accepted the conditions.
