The First Section of the Provincial Court will try on January 22, in Gran Canaria, a man who was found with 5.6 grams of cocaine in Arrecife. The Public Prosecutor's Office requests a sentence of four and a half years in prison for the accused.
According to the indictment, at approximately 01:30 hours on September 28, 2014, in the vicinity of Calle La Carmen in Arrecife, D.A.M. possessed "11 wraps containing cocaine with a total weight of 5.6 grams and an average purity of 18.85%" with "the intention of distributing them among third parties." A drug that, according to reports, would have reached a value of 147.96 euros on the illicit market.
The Public Prosecutor's Office considers that the facts constitute a crime against Public Health and, in addition to requesting a sentence of four and a half years in prison for the accused, also requests that a fine of 443.88 euros be imposed on him "with the subsidiary personal responsibility of one month of deprivation of liberty."
