The head of the Investigating Court Number 3 of Madrid has summoned the Lanzarote businessman Ángel Ramón Tejera, alias Mon, on November 15 to testify as an investigated party in the Cuarteles case. This appearance occurs within the framework of the investigation into the alleged irregularities committed in the awarding of works in at least 13 Civil Guard headquarters throughout the country.
As confirmed by Europa Press, Judge Isabel Durántez maintains Mon among those investigated in the case for the rehabilitation and painting works that were awarded between 2008 and 2019 to companies managed by the businessman for a value of almost three million euros.
As La Voz has already reported, Internal Affairs of the Civil Guard revealed in different reports that the payments made to Ángel Ramón Tejera's entities took place despite the fact that some of the awarded works were not executed or were partially carried out. For this reason, he is attributed the alleged crimes of forgery in an official document, forgery in a commercial document and embezzlement.
As published by La Provincia, the Prosecutor's Office has expanded the Cuarteles case and has requested that two generals and seven colonels of the Civil Guard testify as witnesses.
In particular, it has called to testify the Brigadier General, head of the Extremadura zone and General, head of the Valencia zone, as well as to locate the head of Barracks Services, whose responsible is a General of the Civil Guard.
Thus, it has also requested the colonels of the Command Centers of Badajoz, Castellón, A Coruña, Algeciras, Alicante, Valladolid and Murcia.
