CaixaBank Dualiza and the Lanzarote Tourism Federation (FTL) have signed a collaboration agreement, which aims to promote Professional Training and its Dual modality on the island of Lanzarote.

The agreement was signed by the territorial director of CaixaBank in the Canary Islands, Manuel Afonso, and by the president of the FTL and
Asolan, Susana Pérez.

Through this alliance, we want to contribute to the development of professional qualification to enhance the competitive capacity of Canarian companies and to the stability of employment as a strategic value in technological, economic and social change processes.

According to the FP Observatory, only during 2024, the Canary Islands will generate a total of 13,000 employment opportunities, of which 3,000 will be for FP technicians.

CaixaBank Dualiza is the Foundation's commitment to CaixaBank Dual Professional Training with the promotion and dissemination of Professional Training, as well as the fundamental role that this training modality has to play in the future of society.

Orientation, promotion and training projects

The agreement includes promoting the orientation and accreditation of skills; improving the dissemination and assessment of Professional Training through the organization of conferences with companies and meetings of business groups; launching training projects
in the workplace; or supporting companies in innovation, identification of apprentice positions and design of training programs, among others.

In this sense, the Insular Association of Hotel and Apartment Businessmen of Lanzarote (Asolan), attached to the FTL, actively participates in the activities planned within the framework of the agreement through its Training and Employment department, with extensive
experience in the training, orientation and qualification of professionals in the tourism sector.

The territorial director of CaixaBank in the Canary Islands, Manuel Afonso, has underlined “the importance of actions such as this that commit the company to the training field in order to be able to adapt the profiles of new students to the real needs of the market, something for which FP continues to be key”.

For her part, the president of the FTL, Susana Pérez, highlighted that “it is very important to recognize the value that Professional Training has acquired as a direct channel for employment and self-employment, and it is precisely in these areas in which both
confederations provide fundamental support, both to guide users in the search for employment, as well as the formulas to follow and support tools for self-employment that we make available to them”.
