The Ministry of Social Rights and Agenda 2030, through its Institute for the Elderly and Social Services (Imserso) began this week the marketing of its Social Tourism program for the elderly.
Currently there are a total of 203 tourist establishments available throughout Spain. In the Canary Islands there are 30, of which only three are in Lanzarote, all in Costa Teguise.
The Blue Sea group participates with two of its hotels in Lanzarote, the Costa Bastian on Avenida de las Palmeras, which has four stars, and the Costa Teguise Gardens, which includes 138 apartments on Avenida del Golf.
The Beatriz de Costa Teguise, which includes a Spa and Wellness Center, as well as 2,000 square meters of outdoor pools and indoor gardens, is also part of the program.
In addition, 10 hotels in Gran Canaria, 9 in Tenerife and 8 in Fuerteventura participate in the program.
In the island coastal areas, stays are 8 and 10 days, with or without transportation included. Imserso also organizes cultural circuits of 6 days and 5 days in the nature tourism modality.
There are also 4-day trips to provincial capitals and 5-day trips to the autonomous cities of Ceuta and Melilla.
