This is what Peter Kern, CEO of Expedia Group, foresees, who gives himself to optimism when drawing a hopeful future despite a present full of uncertainties in the face of the advance of ómicron in this new wave of COVID-19. "Next summer there will be great successes and hopefully it will be the beginning of the end of the impact of the coronavirus on travel," says Kern, who does see obstacles to business travel this year.
The manager is confident that the industry will emerge "significantly improved" from this pandemic and highlights what will be the biggest challenge for online agencies in this new stage: "taking care of the customer in the face of COVID"
