The British newspaper 'The Times' has published a travel guide, "The insider’s guide to secret Spain" (The local connoisseur's guide to discovering secret Spain), in which it highlights accommodation in Lanzarote. These are the Buenavista Lanzarote Country Suites, which it describes as "ideal for enjoying a rural getaway" in the municipality of Tías.
This accommodation is located in the Natural Park of la Geria and the veteran English newspaper describes it as "a collection of five suites located among volcanic vineyards of the impressive lava fields of Lanzarote." The media highlights the design with polished concrete floors, soft tones and large windows that frame and highlight the views.
The Times describes the rooms, which include "colorful fabrics, vintage furniture, stone bathrooms and cozy patios." It also highlights its two swimming pools and the short distance to the beaches of the south of the island. The guide explains that breakfast is made with products from the island.
There is another accommodation in the Canary Islands that is also on the list, it is the Parador Cruz de Tejeda in Gran Canaria, located north of its highest peak, the Pico de las Nieves.
Built with volcanic stone and designed with large windows to take advantage of the views, this 43-room refuge combines "rustic elements such as high ceilings and terracotta tiles with terraces and an infinity pool that juts out over the intricate landscape."
The British newspaper also highlights the option of "relaxing in the spa after a day of hiking", with a hydromassage pool, sauna and outdoor jacuzzi, as well as the opportunity to "savor traditional Canarian dishes, including seafood, watercress stew or cheeses from the region".
