The five- and four-star hotels in Lanzarote started the year with price reductions compared to the same month last year.
This is confirmed by the latest monthly report from the tourism intelligence company Mabrian Technologies, published by the State Commercial Company for the Management of Innovation and Tourism Technologies (Segittur).
The five-star ones charged 343 euros per night in January, 2% less than what a room cost the same month of the previous year.
They did it after freezing prices in December (290 euros per night, the same as in December of the previous year) and also lowering prices in October (-11%) and November (-4%) with respect to the same months of the previous year.
For their part, four-star hotels charged in January an average of 217 euros per night, 4% less than twelve months ago.
These hotel establishments had already reduced prices in November by 4% compared to the previous year to 206 euros, although they were able to increase them in December by the same percentage (+4%) to 199 euros per night.
The hotel satisfaction index offered by Mabrian Technologies for January in Lanzarote fell by 10.3% compared to last year to 50.2 points.
Meanwhile, the Global Tourism Perception Index (GTPI) fell by 12.7% to 64.2 points. This index measures the general level of visitor satisfaction with Lanzarote on Twitter, Instagram, Tripadvisor, Expedia, and Booking.com.For its part, the satisfaction index with security in Lanzarote fell 2.2 points in December to 96.2 points
