National tourism rebounds, Lanzarote hotels register a large increase in November

The average stay in Lanzarote hotels falls in November compared to last year, although it is still the second longest among the Canary Islands

Lanzarote's hotels have accommodated a total of 24,565 Spanish travelers in November, which is equivalent to 24% more than were recorded in the same month of 2023, according to the latest hotel survey by the National Institute of Statistics (INE).

In contrast, the number of foreign travelers staying in Lanzarote hotels, a total of 113,509 people, barely increases compared to last year.

The average stay in Lanzarote hotels in November was 7.02 days, which represents a slight decrease compared to the mark of the same month in 2023, when it reached 7.2 days.

Despite the reduction, only Fuerteventura registers a longer average tourist stay than Lanzarote, reaching 7.4 days.

The number of days that tourists stay in the Canary Islands has decreased in all the islands in November, except for La Palma, compared to last year.

The occupancy per place in Lanzarote hotels last month increased slightly from 74.6% in November last year to 74.8% this year.
