Lanzarote hotels charge 7% more than a year ago

The number of travelers also grows, but at a slower rate than the increase in rates that generates six million more in revenue

The 77 hotel establishments in Lanzarote registered an average rate last January that reached 137.9 euros per night, which represents a 7% growth compared to the same month of the previous year. 

The number of travelers staying also increased, although with less intensity, there were 178,541 people staying, which is 3.5% more than the previous year.

Thus, the hotels of Lanzarote raised a total of 70.5 million euros in January, almost six million more than they obtained in the same month of 2024. 

The occupancy also grew by three percentage points, from 87.1% last year to 90.08% in this first month of 2025. 

The hotel places offered went from 42,952 to 43,681, which is equivalent to 729 more places than a year ago. 

Employment has also increased in hotels, there are 273 more people working than a year ago. In total there are 10,021 employees of Lanzarote hotel establishments.
