British airline Jet2.com announced this Tuesday the opening in April 2025 of a new base in Bournemouth (United Kingdom), number twelve, which will fly to sixteen destinations, eight of them in Spain.

Specifically, Gran Canaria, Tenerife, Fuerteventura, Lanzarote, Alicante, Ibiza, Mallorca and Menorca, the airline explains in a note sent this Tuesday.

The first flight will take off from Bournemouth to Tenerife on April 1, 2025, the company explains, adding that tickets for these destinations will go on sale in the coming days.

In addition, the route to Fuerteventura will be exclusive to Jet2.com, the airline adds.

This expansion "is a further sign of the company's confidence in its long-term strategy and commitment to Spain and its islands", its main foreign market, the note says.

The airline will inaugurate its 11th base in the city of Liverpool in the coming days, on March 28, which will also connect with these eight Spanish destinations and is scheduled to also fly from there to Malaga and Reus (Tarragona) in 2025, Jet2.com explains.
