Lanzarote has been recognized for the twentieth time as the Best Winter Destination by the Irish Travel Agents Association, an award that once again confirms the preference of the Irish market for the island as a leading tourist destination during the winter season.
Awarded by travel agents from Ireland and Northern Ireland themselves, and competing with Dubai, Gran Canaria, Tenerife, and South Africa, the award once again places Lanzarote ahead of top international destinations and is a source of pride for the entire island's tourism industry.
“This recognition reinforces the loyalty and the strong cultural bond that exists between the Irish community and Lanzarote, consolidating the island as a solid, attractive, and competitive destination,” stated Oswaldo Betancort, president of the Cabildo of Lanzarote, considering that “it is an immense honor that, once again, Lanzarote has been chosen by the Irish industry as the Best Winter Destination, which reflects the continued trust of such a demanding market as the Irish one and the close relationship of friendship and shared values between Ireland and our island.”
"Year after year, thousands of visitors choose Lanzarote to enjoy its sun, its hospitality, and its culture, and that reaffirms our commitment to continue building bridges between our communities, based on the respect, affection, and complicity that unite us," he addsFor his part, Héctor Fernández, CEO of SPEL-Turismo Lanzarote, emphasizes the strategic value of this award. "The recognition granted by the Irish Travel Agents Association confirms that Lanzarote remains a preferred destination in the European market, not only for its climatic conditions and diversified offerings, but also for the **overall experience** it provides to visitors.""In addition to being a cause for joy, it is a very positive indicator, since Lanzarote competes with global destinations of enormous tourist weight, and standing out among them is an unequivocal sign of quality, good management, and international positioning."
