Inter-island flights between Lanzarote and Tenerife have grown this last year to reach their peak last August. Specifically, the journeys between both islands have increased by 9% between July and August, in addition to 84.9% compared to January of this year. This is stated by the data from the Canary Islands Institute of Statistics (ISTAC), compiled through the figures from the Canary Islands airports, and prepared by the Lanzarote Data Center.

So far this year, 565,018 travelers have been registered (counting entries to each island) between Gran Canaria and Lanzarote, the route with the highest influx. The flow of passengers between Lanzarote and the capital island has increased by 5.2% compared to the first eight months of last year.

Secondly, air connections between Tenerife and Lanzarote are the second most used. This year, 323,088 round trips between the island of Teide and the island of volcanoes have been recorded. This implies an increase of 5% compared to the previous year.

To this must be added the air connection with the island of La Palma, with 12,017 trips so far this year. This figure is very similar to that of the previous year, where 12,034 were recorded and represents only a decrease of 0.1%.

Meanwhile, air travel with Fuerteventura has decreased by 41.6% compared to the months of January to August 2022. Thus, 348 passengers made round trips between both islands in the last eight months.
