Despite the increase in infections of the Ómicron variant, the International Tourism Fair, Fitur 2022 will be held between January 19 and 23 in Madrid, occupying halls 3 to 10 of the IFEMA venue, in a context in which health security will take on special importance.
The event will have health measures such as the mandatory use of the FFP2 mask indoors, temperature control, hydroalcoholic gel dispensers that can be found throughout the venue, circuits with wide corridors that allow maintaining social distance and controlling capacity. In addition, the organization has launched other measures to guarantee safety at the fair, such as the renewal and filtering of air every 20 minutes, digital access passes, catering in outdoor spaces on heated terraces and indoor catering with the requirement of seated services at tables for a maximum of 6 diners and with a distance between them of 1.5 meters. The EU Digital COVID Certificate, QR Spain Travel Health or the certificate of a negative Covid-19 test performed 24 hours before the first access to FITUR will also be required. On the other hand, IFEMA Madrid will enable areas in the north and south accesses of the venue to make available to FITUR 2022 attendees the performance of PCR tests -at a cost of 90 euros- and antigens -for 21 euros- in case they were necessary to access the fair (for not being able to present any of the required certificates) or for transfers back to origin.
