Traditionally, the hotels in the three most touristy municipalities of Lanzarote, that is, Teguise, Tías and Yaiza, have charged more per night than the hotels located in the capital of the island, but prices in the capital have been rising since the return of tourism after the pandemic.

Thus, although the hotels in Tías and Yaiza are still quite more expensive, in recent months the hotel rates in Arrecife and Teguise are being very similar.

Last June, for example, the average hotel rate in Arrecife rose to 85.9 euros per night, while in the municipality of Teguise it was 86.15 euros. The previous month it was the opposite, since the average in Teguise remained at 82.7 euros and in Arrecife 84.4 euros.

Before the pandemic, in 2019, the price differences between the hotels in both municipalities were much greater. Then the average rate in Arrecife remained in June at 54.4 euros, while in Teguise it reached 67.6 euros.

However, the hotels in Arrecife were far from reaching the average prices in Tías (103.9 euros in June) or in Yaiza (126.85 euros).

The average daily rate at the level of all Canary Islands reached in June 99.46 euros on average.
