For the first time since records have been kept, the accommodation rate of one of the municipalities of Lanzarote has exceeded 150 euros per night, according to the Tourist Accommodation Survey of the Canary Islands Institute of Statistics (ISTAC).
This is the municipality of Yaiza, where the overnight stay cost an average of 153.48 euros on average last August, more than ever before in its history.
The figures for Yaiza are well above the average rate for the island, which in August amounted to 127.11 euros, and even more so with respect to the average in the Canary Islands, which stood at 117.55 euros.
By municipalities, the prices in Yaiza doubled the prices recorded in Haría, where the average price per night was 76.8 euros.
The second most economical municipality during the month of August was Arrecife, where the average price per night remained at 88.85 euros.
Next, Teguise, where the average daily rate reached 103.1 euros, and finally Tías, the second municipality on the island with the highest rate, 118 euros, although far from the data recorded in Yaiza.
The ISTAC Tourist Accommodation Survey did not analyze the data for Tinajo and San Bartolomé.
