The real estate market on the island of Lanzarote continues to register a marked upward trend. The average price per square meter on the island as a whole stood at 3,335 euros per square meter this September, representing an increase of 13.55% compared to the 2,937 euros registered in September of last year.

This is confirmed by the latest sales listing figures on the real estate portal idealista.com, provided by the Lanzarote Data Center.

By municipalities, Teguise tops the list with the most pronounced percentage increase on the island. The square meter in this town went from 2,802 euros in the previous period to 3,523 euros in the current one, experiencing an absolute increase of 721 euros, which is equivalent to a 25.73% rise.

Very close behind is Arrecife, which registered the second largest increase in Lanzarote. The island's capital saw its properties become more expensive by 25.30%, going from an average price of 2,000 euros per square meter last September to 2,506 euros this September, which represents an upward difference of 506 euros.

In third place with a double-digit increase is Tías. The municipality recorded a revaluation of 11.08%, increasing its average price from 3,835 euros per square meter the previous year to 4,260 euros in the current period, which translates to 425 euros more.

For its part, Yaiza experienced moderate growth of 1.28%. The average value in the southern area advanced from the 3,819 euros per square meter registered in the preceding September to the current 3,868 euros, representing a slight upward variation of 49 euros.

Closing the year-on-year comparison with the smallest percentage increase is Haría, with a variation of 0.78%. Its prices barely registered fluctuations, going from 3,095 euros per square meter last year to 3,119 euros in the current period, barely 24 euros difference.

Regarding the remaining municipalities, San Bartolomé registered a figure of 3,133 euros per square meter this September, although it was not possible to calculate its percentage variation rate due to a lack of comparable data in the same month of the previous year.

Finally, for the municipality of Tinajo, a price comparison could not be provided because it did not have a sufficient volume of published properties to obtain representative and accurate data.
